Stonehenge Tribunal of 1222
Main Article: Stonehenge Tribunal
In case you feel like reading about a standard Tribunal before the next game, there's an article on Tribunal Procedures.
Charges against Nova Semitae
- Phessalia of Merinita charges that Nova Semitae has failed in its obligations to the Tribunal and that its vis sources, chattels, and wealth are claimable by Tribunal members (all covenant members responsible; Neanne will bear primary responsibility as the covenant Princeps)
- Phessalia of Merinita charges that the new magi of Nova Semitae are not verified magi who have sworn the Oath (Adria, Aidan, Geoffrey, Joshua, Magni, Obscurus Ignis, Veloxia, and Thomas)
- Phessalia of Merinita charges that magi of Nova Semitae have violated the Code by not abiding by the results of Certamen (Merlin's Well incident)
- Phessalia of Merinita charges that magi of Nova Semitae have violated the Code by depriving her of her magical power (Merlin's Well incident)
- Phessalia of Merinita charges that magi of Nova Semitae have violated the Code by exhibiting blatant magic in Wales (Viking Ghosts adventure) (Magni, Obscurus Ignis)
Phessalia is from Voluntas, a tribunal towards the northern end of England. Magni would be familiar with them as they suffer raids from Scottish lowland covenants as well.
Dealing with Outlaw Scottish Covenants
Speaking of Scottish lowland covenants, you all heard the Redcap tell Magni that his pater, Aduro, is seeking support for a motion at Tribunal to deal with lawless Scottish lowland covenants who raid English covenants without regard to Hermetic law. Magni can tell you they use mercenaries and blatant magic, leaving English covenants holding the bag when nobles get upset.
Aduro has a reputation of being a Hoplite (powerful magi who back Quaesitores in enforcing judgements against magi) and as someone who is an archmagus candidate. He does not seem interested in going through the process of becoming one, believing his duty is to the Order itself. Aduro's first apprentice (and thus soror to Magni), Perditia, has been arguing with Aduro to become a formal archmagus as it will enhance his reputation and become a more fearsome defender of the Order. Perditia herself is at a point in her career where she could potentially make a challenge for the title of archmagus, but it is traditionally to challenge one's parens first if they are an archmagus.

Sticking it to Blackthorn
Also from Voluntas, is an issue from Julia of Jerbiton. She is pushing to having the Tribunal moved to another location other than Blackthorn. Julia was the foremost maga leading the organized covenants to oppose Blackthorn and break their former stranglehold of power on the Tribunal. She helped make the Tribunal meetings quorate. However, she is developing the reputation for being something of an extremist because many magi consider Blackthorn 'broken', as they no longer command a majority of votes in the Tribunal. Despite that, she insists that Blackthorn needs to be further reigned in to prevent their abuses of the past. (Eos knows one reason why Blackthorn is so disliked.)
Other Activities at Tribunal
- Draag of Blackthorn organises the Bjornaer gathering which resembles a pagan midsummer festival. Very secretive.
- Edward of Milton, of Schola Pythagoranis, organises a Jerbiton gathering, which is a large formal dinner party, followed by a masquerade ball. Largely attended by Jerbiton, with the occasional 'civilized' guest invited to attend. Nearly every attendee has the Gentle Gift and impeccable manners.
- Scintilla of Burnham formerly organised the Flambeau Melee, however, since disaster struck the Flambeaux of Stonehenge, the Melee had been cancelled indefinitely. Rumours abound that she is looking to re-establish the custom at the Tribunal of 1222.
- Aurelia of Nigrasaxa organises the Verditius Regional Contest, a smaller version of The Contest which takes place at Verdi every twenty-two years.
- Aulus of Bonisagus and Neanne of Verditius, both from Nova Semitae, organize a small colloquium for the scholastically-minded members to give lectures, share knowledge, and otherwise discuss magical theory and methods with other members. Due to a historical debacle in the Tribunal, the number of Bonisagus magi in the Tribunal is very low, so this event is not very well attended.
- A general seller's market for enchantments, potions, books, longevity rituals, vis, and anything else magi will trade pops up. Very informal.
