Aed Allan
Aed Allan is just shy of six feet tall, is clean shaven, and has dark brown hair which falls loosely past his shoulders. He wears clean, well-tailored clothing, but goes barefoot.
Aed is the fifth son of an Irish lord. As he has very little chance to inherit the family wealth and lands, his parents apprenticed him to Aidan, a master glassblower. (Unlike the Normans, the Irish nobles do not feel that a trade is below them.) Aed had no choice or say in this arrangement and first thought his parents were rejecting him. He was hurt and hated being over a hundred miles away from home. However, over the past few years, Aed has begun to like Aidan and has come to like creating fine glassware for nobles and the church. Two or three times a year, Aed helped make unique glass laboratory equipment for the Elk’s Run covenant, though he did not know much of the Order of Hermes.
His long-term goals are to set up his own glass workshop and to get land by using his family’s social status to help him marry an heiress or the daughter of a noble house. He was approached by Sr. Adria about relocating to Nova Semitae after his experience with the demon masquerading as Cu Chulainn. At the time he thought Dublin, as a major trading port, exposed him to the oddest people in Christendom. He has since discovered that the magi and their majority population of jews rivals the cosmopolitanism of even Dublin.

Linus, Guardian Angel
Aed’s guardian angel is a lesser angel named Linus. Linus knew about the Tear housing demonic power and tried to warn Aed about it. Aed was ultimately unsuccessful in getting the Church to deal with it, but managed to convince the players of his insights. Unfortunately for Aed, he has a tendency to speak about his insights from Linus as if everyone understood the source of his knowledge. This tends to contribute to his reputation as a little touched in the head. Linus, however, isn't concerned for this as the trials and tribulations of the Earthly realm are considered fleeting; he is principally concerned with Aed's soul.
