- The Tunnel Rats gang: A lowlife gang of street toughs running intimidation and protection rackets. Known for their revolving-door experience when brought to court. The gang is led by a mysterious Tunnel Master, who in truth is Rotti Nelson, a well known politician.
- Pendleton Glitterati the Muskrat, a particularly unscrupulous industry mogul, he uses his wealth to tromp around in a mechanized suit and whatever quirky gadget of the week caught his fancy, and is plenty willing to hire the Laventon Detective Agency whenever he needs hired muscle.
- The Mitre, a charismatic porcine leader with a particular religious worldview that despises evidence of practices and beliefs not in alignment with his own. Also known as 'The Bishop'. He leads a group called The Crozier, or the Bishop's Staff, who are suspected in the theft, robbery, or destruction of historical and religious artifacts. Although they target artifacts in the field, they have been implicated but never charged with destruction or theft of artifacts from museums and private collections.
