Supernatural S04E08
Episode 8 - Lone Women Big Sandy, Montana (December 16, 2011) Returning to Montana, the Hunters must decide how to track down the mysterious Elizabeth and face the dragons antagonizing her.
The Hunters head back to Montana after obtaining Gram, the dragon-slaying sword, on loan from Vaughn Aksel Solberg, a natural gas tycoon, who won it at the Dubai swap meet. Solberg, meanwhile, is holding onto the Prophet Eider Copley and making sure he gets proper care while the Hunters confront the dragons. Solberg asked for some proof of their existence and will meet them in Las Vegas to reexchange the sword and Prophet. The Prophet lives in Nevada, and the Hunters will introduce Solberg to Val.
The first stop for the Hunters is to talk to Terrance, the animal control officer, again. He reports that more animals have dropped from ranches along Big Sandy Creek. The most recent was unsettlingly close to town. He also points out that they are not predation - nothing is being eaten. He brings up the concept of "over-predation" where predators hunt a lot and choose the best to eat in plentiful situations, like bears just eating parts of salmon rather than the whole thing. He still figures they are looking for something more akin to a creature or animal, so he tries to explain how humans take animal intelligence for granted, and this one is just as smart as a bear, wolf, elephant, or dolphin. What it is doing must make sense to it, but he doesn't know the purpose - that's the Feds' job (the hunters).
