This whole setup sounds very UN. I'm assuming thats the idea you were going for.

Yep. Partly to bring it more in line with Shadowrun, partly because this is how global politics emerged after a big war on Earth, and partly because with other races pitching in everything they could (the list of War Assets includes things like a Volus dreadnought and bomber fleet, Elcor flotilla, Hanar and Drell forces -- it just wouldn't be the same to go back to the same old, 'OK, thanks for your militaries, now back to your voiceless position!' politics it was before.

Makes total sense to me. I'm sure there are some Turian and Asari who aren't so happy about it though. On a semi-related note, which choice are you going to use for the Rachni in your history? It would be interesting if they were on the General Assembly. On a similar vein, do Specters still exist? Are they still Counsel special forces?
