A sandblasted sentinel world that stands vigil against the darkness of the expanse, honoring their fallen crusader’s last victory.
Astrography
Loretta orbits an angry red star, her tight orbit crowded by innumerable barren rocky planets, moonlets and asteroids. These combined with the roiling warp which surrounds keeps the safe jump points to the edges of the system.

The windswept deserts of Loretta are the only habitable location in the system.
Planetology
A barren, wind-swept world of rolling, scrub-choked plains and blistering high deserts prone to massive and deadly sandstorms. Very little grows on Loretta, save for the hardy scrub and short trees with squat, twisted trunks. The fauna consists of mainly small rodents, serpents, and stinging arachnids. It was here that Almace sought spiritual guidance from the Emperor in the wilderness shortly before her demise in battle, and it is here that she was granted a vision of her final conflict, or so goes the legend.
Socialogy
The entire population of Loretta is centered around the Temple of the Bloody Tear. The Temple-Fortress dominates the area, built up from a recognizable imperial prefabricated pattern, while a maze of small, makeshift structures make up the greater town around it, filed with the bustle of agriculture and regular frontier life.
Small in population and bereft of a true civil government, the Abbess of the Bloody Tear is the de facto governor and arbiter of the planet.
