Death is not failure, for even death can bring glory. Fear is not failure, for fear can be conquered. The only known failure is to ignore orders, for even a slight hesitation in following them brings an ignoble end. — Liber Progenium, Volume I

The 37th Stormtrooper Company is the current Militarum Tempestus unit stationed onboard the Aurea Albion, having taken over from the previous company not long after their initial deployment. While all Militarum Tempestus go through the same initial training, the 37th is primarily a Naval Company with the extended void experience and specialized wargear one would expect from such a unique and perilous warzone. It conversely means they are also far more comfortable with waiting then their ground-assault counterparts, who are often thrown from battle to battle in rapid succession.

Tempestus Scions

Stormtrooper2.jpg

Tempestus Scions or Storm Troopers, as they are typically known among voidsmen, are the elite special forces units of the Astra Militarum and Imperial Navy. Officially members belong to an independent subdivision known as the Militarum Tempestus, Storm Troopers are trained from their youth by the Schola Progenium in the arts of war. Armed with their trademark Hellguns and Hellpistols, these soldiers take combat to the heart of the enemy with blinding speed and deadly precision. Storm Troopers are among the finest human soldiers in service to the Imperium and in demand across unnumbered warzones.

Equipped with the finest weapons and wargear in the Departmento Munitorum's arsenal, Storm Troopers are trained to carry out missions beyond the capabilities of the rank-and-file soldiers. Deep strike assaults, aggressive reconnaissance, infiltration, sabotage, and airborne or orbital insertion are just a few of the special operations missions with which the stormtroopers are routinely called upon to perform.

Storm Troopers are unique in that they form a single regiment per sector, with that regiment receiving a constant influx of new recruits to keep it up to full strength. By virtue of its members having been recruited from the graduates of the Schola Progenium, the regiment made up of soldiers from worlds throughout the Sector. Though it may claim up to ten thousand men under arms at any given time, this huge force does not fight at a single place. Instead, individual companies or battalions are instead sent to war zones, and from there, divided further among the innumerable needs of their theater commanders.
