Ideas for spending the remaining 320xp:

  • Choices
    • Take Deception for your human skill to round out your social options
    • Take Leadership & Negotiation for your starter skills
    • Take (Lore) for your knowledge specialization (Jediness)
    • Take Charm or Negotiate as your social specialization
  • Skills (105xp to 135xp +) - You are a social & knowledge powerhouse, focus in that area. Can go light in leadership (Ben's Specialty) and Deception (Mark's)
    • Charm 2, Cool 2, Discipline 3, Negotiate 2, Lore 2, Education 1 & 2 (All your principle class skills) will only cost your 75xp
    • Then take either the 3rd Charm & Negotiate to play to your strengths (30xp) or pick up a point in Vigilance, Outer Rim and Perception to round out your skills (30xp)
  • Talents (110 xp +) - Try and focus on bonuses that feed into your skills
    • Sage Tree:
      • An extra Smooth Talker makes the one you have more valuable (10xp)
      • 2 Knowledge specializations do the same. One is gated behind Confidence (35xp)
      • Valuable Facts is a great support action, as SIRI demonstrated. (15xp)
      • You can pick up 2 Grits & a second researcher cheap (5 ea / 15xp)
      • Natural Negotiator is great for the reliability of your main social skills. (25xp)
    • Niman Disciple - Combat is not a focus, but there are still some good options; eventually you;ll want to fill in lines 1-3 for defense.
      • Nobody's Fool - Feeds right into your social (5xp)
      • Reflect - at 5 xp, it's good insurance. (5xp)
      • The next block up gets expensive
    • Opening Up "Mystic Advisor (40xp)
      • This is a natural third specialization for your concept and dovetails nicely on your knowledge/social focus and the 'Peaceful Counselor' concept. Not cheap though, so it could wait a while, particularly if you want to build up more powers.
  • Force Powers (Keep it below 150 at most. Stay balanced. I'd probably pick up the Sense, Foresee Events, then start with Foresee danger & either Protect or Bind but not both.)
    • Sense (10 to 60 xp)
      • Sense Thoughts Seems quite useful to a negotiator/social. The range upgrades are probably more valuable than the magnitude upgrades.
    • Foresee (10 to 90xp)
      • Foresee Danger: Initiative and the start of battle bonuses, could be useful but also doubles with some of Ben's abilities (10 + 10 to 60 xp)
      • Foresee Events: Plot-filled vague hints! (10 to 30xp)
    • Protect (20 to 165) - Pricy to drop into, but fits well with the protective, defensive theme.
      • This is one you could climb over time effectively, The first 2 controls are probably good to get early, then buy evenly.
    • Bind (15 to 195 xp)
      • As you have force rating 3, I'd push to Duration, then work on magnitude. Mastery is actually quite less helpful in this one.
