Approaches are the fundamental numerical portion of the character. Their are six approaches in total, and each one is given a value from 0 to 3 (this can be increased over time.). An approach represents not the skill your marine uses to accomplish their tasks, but the way they go about utilizing their skills to accomplish the challenges set before them. Each approach is a static bonus added to every roll that is performed utilizing that particular approach.

Deathwatch approaches

Fate of the Deathwatch utilizes a different set of approaches then standard Fate Accelerated.

Forcefully

The marine attempts to accomplish his task by using strength (physical, social or mental) to power through any resistance.

Swiftly

The marine attempts to accomplish his task by moving, talking or acting too quickly for resistance to fully materialize.

Precisely

The marine attempts to accomplish his task by ensuring that everything is placed as effectively as possible.

Analytically

The marine attempts to accomplish his task by studying the situation and determining the true nature of things.

Traditionally

The marine attempts to accomplish his task by the application of his faith and the wisdom of the ancestors, from other veterans to Primarchs and the Emperor.

Cunningly

The marine attempts to accomplish his task by underhanded or unexpected methods, going around rather than through resistance.

Starting Values
