One note about Majory: Mundanes cannot generally help in the lab in the sense that they'll add to your lab total. Generally speaking, you need the Gift to be able to assist a magus in the lab. However, there are some exceptions:

  • Familiars can help in the lab, as they are bonded to a magus
  • Characters with the Failed Apprentice virtue can still assist in the lab, even if their Gift is too damaged to do Hermetic magic itself

However, mundanes with training in Magic Theory can do things magi find tedious, such as:

  • Setting up new labs (need Magic Theory 3 to set one up without a lab penalty)
  • Copy magic-related texts (Arts, Arcane skills)

Just something to keep in mind!
