==Ship's Captain== Lynara Cobolt is the Captain of the Penance of Iocaanthos and a Vassal Lady to the Drake Dynasty. She has been part of the Dynasty under Aurtoeus Drake for the longest of anyone outside of his own ship. Particularly skilled in dangerous trade routes, she had well in increasing the Rogue Trader’s profits.

==History== Lynara is the scion of a long and honorable line of Free Captains whose fates have fluctuated with that of their ship, the Penance of Iocanthos. Changing fortunes and trade lines have pushed the Cobolt family farther and farther out to the fringes of the Calexis sector, until Port Wander became one of their primary ports of call. Captain Cobalt herself grew up in this environment, envious of the freedoms and opportunities granted to the Rogue Traders who frequented her home station of Port Wander. Bestowed with far more ambition then her accepting predecessors, she pushed her ship and crew into more and more dangerous routes, accepting warp-lines that most Free Traders would balk at, all with the intention of building a resume strong enough for a Rogue Trader to consider taking her on as a vassal captain, rather than simply an employee.

For years this avenue of advancement presented little to show. Although a few Rogue Trader dynasties expressed interest in hiring her full time, or offering to sell dangerous, but profitable, licenses of trade, none were willing to present her with the power and opportunity she truly sought. In her darkest hour, her ambition appeared to have gotten the better of her as the Penance of Iocanthous was blown off course during a pilgrim transit threw the Maw. There the pilgrim ship drifted, with little hope of ever leaving again.

But as the saying goes, it is darkest before the dawn. Lynara’s fortunes changed when the Aurea Albion emerged from the immaterium. The newly arrived Rogue Trader Drake was able, with the help of his crew, devised a method of releasing the ships and saving their lives. During the execution of this daring plan, Lynara met with Aurtoeus and discussed future business arrangements. Aurtoeus was impressed by her record, as well as her subsequent actions during the escape, and offered her the position she had been striving for – vassalship in the newly ascendant Drake Dynasty.

==Rules== Vassal’s Due: Lynara is sure to take her part of the Profit, particularly when there’s going to be a good haul. She reduces the dynasty’s achievement points by 100. This can never cause an endeavor to fail.

Vassal’s Weight: Lynara knows how to pull her weight when sent out on her own. She increases a background endeavor’s chance of success by 15%. In addition, if the endeavor fails, she reduces the profit loss by 1.
