A WRETCHED HIVE

Between the stars in the blackness of space, the Nebulon-B frigate Resurgence floats silently away from the prying eyes of the Empire.
It is a bright time in the galaxy.  The Galactic Empire has spread from the Deep Core to the Outer Rim, and everywhere the Empire’s glory can be felt.

Meanwhile, the galaxy continues to sink further into darkness. Each day, remnants of the Old Republic are crushed and a New Order is more firmly established.
Despite saving the galaxy from a civil war, dissident elements of the old power structure struggle in futility against the peace brought by the Emperor.

Former Imperial Admiral Gilder Varth has provided Alderaanian agents with vital information on secret projects, and even now events are in motion to reveal the Empire’s misdeeds to the galaxy . . .
Four days ago, insurgents struck a remote space station above Brentaal resulting in the deaths of several loyal Imperial citizens and Stormtroopers.  Rumours also place a Jedi traitor at the scene.  The Empire has sent a covert team to investigate and eliminate these these threats to Imperial peace....

A campaign page for Mark to work out a potential Dawn of Defiance game using Edge of the Empire/Age of Rebellion/Force and Destiny.

Alternate plan: Run parallel Dawn of Defiance/Rise of the Inquisition games

Dramatis Personae

Rebels

  • Din Matane - A Jedi Padawan on the run from the Empire. Human.
  • Ama'rante (Amarante) - Daughter of a well-bred wealthy family being increasingly marginalized due to the Empire's "Humans First" policies. Twi'lek.
  • Masee Sana - A former minor government official in the Galactic Republic, then under the Empire, now opposing the Empire after seeing some of their atrocities through the bureaucracy. Knows Shinaa Zeltree from a previous adventure. Human.
  • Shinaa "Red" Zeltree - A free-spiritied "adventurer" and gambler. Easy with the truth, money, and other people's possessions. Knows Masee Sana from a previous adventure. Zeltron.
  • BW-2G "Grey" - A sturdy bodyguard droid in the service of Ama'rante. Unusual for a combat droid, it possesses a personality matrix due to a bored programmed inserting it during the manufacturing process. Droid.

Ideas for other characters for variety:

  • A more combat-oriented Jedi Padawan; Din Matane is less focused on lightsaber use.
  • A more mechanically-minded droid (R2 unit or a hoverdroid unit of some kind)
  • A non-droid fighter type

Imperials

  • Two Inquisitors
  • Two ISB Agents
  • Two Imperial Intelligence Agents

STAR WARS: DAWN OF DEFIANCE Episode I

THE TRAITOR’S GAMBIT

It is a dark time in the galaxy. The evil Galactic Empire has spread from the Deep Core to the Outer Rim, and everywhere the Empire’s tyranny can be felt.

Fleeing from the oppression of the Emperor’s minions, agents of Senator Bail Organa have run to a remote space station above Brentaal. Known to be a vocal opponent of the Empire, Organa may be the last hope of freedom in the galaxy.

In the hopes of stopping these dissidents before they can reach the Senator, the Empire has alerted its forces on Sel Zonn Station, where the struggle for liberty rages on, and the first sparks of rebellion have begun to burn. . . .
