Summary of the Story
Scene 1: A Tanabata Wish Revealed
The henge are all hanging out at the Fox shrine when Hibito Maruyama, one of the young boys that was bullying Billy Watts, burst rushes in with a plan to have his Tanabata wish in every shrine in town. Despite some reluctance after meeting Okuni Abe, he pins his wish to a nearby tree, and a curious look reveals his wish, to meet his father...
Scene 2: On the Case
The henge decide to investigate about Hibito Maruyama's father, Okuni Abe decides to ask Goddess of Mt. Kaminaga for help finding him, while the rest of the henge start asking around town. The Goddess of Mt. Kaminaga will warn Okuni that his father is too far away for her to find, but gives the fox a charm that might help her find him. Meanwhile the rest of henge eventually learn from Miyuki that Hibito's parents are divorced, and that his father is from Osaka...
Scene 3: A Mysterious Witch Arrives
As the Henge ponder how they are going to find him in the big city, they chance upon a new friend, Tsukiko the witch, and after some shenanigans, agrees to help the henge with this little problem. The first big hurdle, how to get to Osaka is solved by Kinji's expertise in taking the train...
Scene 4: Lost in the Big City
Having gone to Osaka with some vital information (like Hibito's father's full name...) they have there work cut out for them trying to find him in a city that seems overwhelmingly large (to everyone except Kinji). Asking around, and relying on the help of Miguel de Almeida's prayers, and the charm given to Okuni Abe they eventually learn about Akinari Nakamura, eventually tracking him down to a local bar...
Scene 5: Meeting with the Father
Talking with Akinari Nakamura they hear his story. Both him and his wife were hooligans in their youth, but his wife had to cleanup her act after the birth of Hibito, while he didn't do so until after she left him. He wants to meet his son, but hasn't, as he suspects his ex-wife wouldn't let them meet, and he is afraid he would be a bad influence on the kid. After a bit of a chat, the Henge talk him into coming to Hitotsuna tomorrow, to meet with Hibito Maruyama.
Final Scene: A Rain of Tears
With a little craftiness, the henge help father and son have some time alone to have their tearful meeting, and Akinari Nakamura promises to be a part of little Hibito Maruyama's life...
