Summary of the Story

Scene One: A Fish on the Line

The Players have gather at the point where the Towa and Suzunari rivers split, to enjoy the first day of fishing season. This end up being an exciting time for Kinji as he meet's Miguel de Almeida and discovers Tovera's true form is a dragon. While most of the players have rods Miguel de Almeida ends up using a ghostly rod and line in mimicry of the action of the others, and Tovera simply stayed in dragon form to play in the water instead. Tovera and Okuni Abe end up working together to play a prank on Miguel de Almeida, by having the dragon tug the ghostly line, and fox use her Fake power to fake a fish that throws a comically oversized hoop and makes quips at the confused ghost. Tovera also pranks Okuni Abe by soak her with water until she returns to her shrine to change, leaving the session. Kinji ends up with a fish on his line and with Miyako's help they bring in a carp, that begs to be freed in exchange for a wish, and while they free the fish the tanuki ends up refusing the wish simply not knowing what he would do with one. The Carp henge explains that he came to town to try and jump the Gokou river waterfall in hopes of becoming a dragon like his mother (although only Miyako realizes the poor fish's confusion, his mother was a black dragon koi, not an actual dragon, but she just doesn't have the heart to tell him)

Scene Two: A Fish Out of Water

With everyone meeting Ryuha, and him pleading with puppy dog eyes for help finding the Gokou waterfall that brings him to town, the players decide to take the overland route due to no one wanting to use one of the powers needed to traverse the water (with even Ryuha too embarassed by his Mermaid's Kiss power to help). The players avoid the main part of town, even waiting for the train to pass to do so, all while answering the curious fish's questions about the world above water in ways that only deepen his confusions.

Scene Three: A Fish Being Followed

Heading into the woods following the Gouko river, the players get a bit of a workout, but some begin to notice that something seems to be following them. This spooks Ryuha a fair bit, needing the help of Miyako's Comfort power to continue their journey. Tovera ends up confronting the follower, and comes face to face with Haruko in wolf form. Their first meeting ends with the wolf warning the dragon not to overstay their welcome in her territory, which sparks a small rivalry between the two.

Final Scene: A Fish's Wish : A Dragon's Birth

Finally arriving at the waterfall Ryuha thanks them for their help, and asks Kinji again what he would want with the with he feels obliged to give for his freedom, and Kinji asks that the fish gets his wish. Overjoyed the fish he uses his Wish power, and in front of everyone in a single majestic leap clears the waterfall shifting into a midnight black dragon at the very top. Tovera uses and shares a bit of her Sky Paths power to help the players meet their now dragon friend in the sky. Finally Tovera uses her Dragon Court power to present Ryuha to Ryūjin, king of dragons and kami of the sea. We close on Ryuha making a pinky promise with Tovera that she will come visit him again.
