  • Esquire: A noble family has entrusted the raising and training of a young woman from their household. She will serve as my personal esquire, assisting in knightly matter. She travels on her own horse (rouncy) and wait at your table. When you are entitled to make a preliminary skill roll to determine your preparedness at either a journey, combat, or encounter, the esquire lets you roll an additional Success die (up to a maximum of 6).
Additionally, your esquire will promptly recover your mount should you fall the saddle or be thrown down from it (you must spend an action to climb back upon your horse), she will bring a spare shield or weapon should I see it smashed or dropped (doesn't take an action to recover gear) and will carry you from the field should you be knocked down by the enemy. While you won't allow your esquire to be directly engaged in combat, she is considered to be always about and eager to perform her duties.
